A lot of words have been used to describe Edwards, with things like ‘homer’ among them, but he is also incredibly detailed and well researched for every game he calls. In 2011, Edwards’ home network of NESN in Boston posted an article outlining the level of care and attention that goes into his game-day preparation for Bruins contests.
It includes detailed and heavily linked Excel spreadsheets which help generate both regular (goals, assists, PIM’s, etc) stats, as well as some of his own (Vulnerable Minute).
